MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila residents should brace for rain this Wednesday night, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its thunderstorm advisory issued at 6:10 p.m., the state weather bureau said that moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds may be expected in the nation’s capital region in the next one to two hours.

The aforementioned conditions, Pagasa added, are currently being experienced over Bulacan (Paombong, Hagonoy), Pampanga (Macabebe, Masantol, Sasmuan), Cavite (Amadeo, Silang, Tagaytay, Dasmariñas, General Trias), Rizal (Antipolo, Rodriguez), and Nueva Ecija (Talavera, Llanera, San Jose, Muñoz, Guimba and Santo Domingo), which may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” the state weather bureau said.
