He also warned that Myanmar workers were returning from the neighboring countries. If authorities will not carry out tasks on prevention measures against COVID-19 to those Myanmar returnees, the virus can spread widely.

The ceremony to hand over medical supplies was held at the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre in Yangon. It was attended by committee members led by Chairman Dr Tin Myo Win, and representatives from NCA signatories and non-Signatories of ethnic armed groups.

Later, Chairman Dr Tin Myo Win, Vice-Chairman Thein Zaw and Vice-Chairman of Coordination Committee and retired Lt-Gen Khin Zaw Oo handed over the medical supplies to the representatives.

Those medical supplies are surgical masks, hand sanitizers, thermometers, disinfectants, Personal Protective Equipment sets (PPE) and face shields.

The health Department of Yangon Region also provided 13 items for the quarantine centers.
