2 suspected drug pushers nabbed in Camarines Sur stings

LEGAZPI CITY — Police anti-narcotics agents arrested two alleged illegal drug pushers in separate buy-bust operations on Sunday in the towns of Pamplona and Baao in Camarines Sur province, reports said Monday.

In Baao, Garry Awa, 33, resident of Barangay (village) San Antonio and considered as new illegal drug seller, was arrested in a drug operation around 6:20 p.m. in Barangay Sagrada for selling “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover police agent. Operatives recovered from the suspect four sachets of shabu.

In Pamplona, suspect Nelson Mores, 57, was caught selling shabu during a separate drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Patong at around 11:05 a.m. Seized were four sachets of shabu.

The suspects were detained and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
