MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday reported six new COVID-19 infections among healthcare workers, bringing the total cases to 2,336.
In a televised press briefing, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said recoveries among healthcare workers rose to 1,086 as 37 more recovers.
Meanwhile, the death toll among healthcare workers remains at 31.
Of the total cases, 1,219 are deemed active cases, of whom, 895 are considered mild while 322 are asymptomatic.
Only two health workers are in severe condition.
Among the top five medical professions with COVID-19 cases are nurses (853), doctors (670), nursing assistants (144), medical technologists (86), and radiologic technologists 43).
The Philippines, so far, has 13,597 COVID-19 cases, including 3,092 recoveries and 857 deaths.
