A preacher turned shuttle service driver proves that nothing, even the coronavirus pandemic, can prevent him from doing good deeds and sharing the word of God to other people through the Scriptures.
Brother Monchito “Monching” El Bueno, a 37-year-old preacher from Cainta, Rizal, was praised by netizens on social media as his wife, Mia Bueno, shared a photo of him on Facebook on Thursday, May 21.
“I want to honor you, Monchito El Bueno, for always looking for ways to make your service/work of great excellence and love,” Mia captioned her post.
Bueno’s post showed her husband driving a van where a basket filled with snacks can be seen, with a note pinned to the basket that reads: “Are you hungry? Please get some snacks here. It’s free! May God strengthen you always. The world needs more heroes like you!”
The basket of snacks is provided by Bueno for the frontline workers of a health and beauty store whom he has been transporting to different branches around Metro Manila. It is also his way of thanking the company and its employees for helping him and his family.
According to his wife, their family’s lights-and-sound business had to temporarily close because of the COVID-19 threat, and her husband had to find other means to earn a living and provide for their family, especially for their four children.

“May mga sasakyan kami from the business na nakatambak lang. Sakto naman nag-[message] sa akin ang kapatid ko na nagwo-work sa Watsons na naghahanap [sila] ng sasakyan for shuttle ng employees nila. So we applied,” she told INQUIRER.net.
(We have vehicles from the business that are just parked. It was timely that my sibling who works at Watsons messaged me that they were looking for a vehicle for their employees’ shuttle. So we applied.)
Their family is also an active member of The Feast, a Catholic community founded by Brother Bo Sanchez. As a preacher, Bueno finds ways to always share the words of God to frontline workers through verses from the Scriptures.

“He brings Jesus wherever he goes. Even in this line of work. So he filled the van with Bible passages nung unang araw nya [sa trabaho] (on his first day of work),” his wife said.
Bueno’s inspiring post has already gained over 26,000 reactions, 374 comments, and over 32,000 shares, as of this writing. /ra
