MANILA, Philippines —Operations in all consular offices nationwide will be suspended on May 25 in observance of Eid’l Fitr, or the “Feast of Ramadan,” the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Friday.
President Rodrigo Duterte earlier declared May 25 a regular holiday nationwide.
In an advisory, the DFA said applicants with confirmed appointments, but will be unable to avail of consular services due to the suspension of operations, would be “accommodated during regular office hours the following day or within the schedule window sent to their email.”
Meanwhile, those with emergencies may contact the consular office where they scheduled their appointment, the department added.
For the e-mail addresses and other contact details of the consular offices, the DFA advised applicants to visit https://consular.dfa.gov.ph/directory#COS.
“Applicants may also send their inquiries to oca.concerns@dfa.gov.ph,” the DFA said.
“The public is also reminded of the full guidelines for the provision of consular services. The full guidelines may be found here: https://bit.ly/3cSdbgC,” it added.
Consular services will resume on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, the DFA said.
