Suspected drug pusher nabbed in Albay
LEGAZPI CITY –– An alleged illegal drug pusher was arrested on Thursday afternoon, yielding P34,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) in a drug sting in Camalig town in Albay province.
Edward Morante, 37, a resident of Barangay Ilawo, was caught selling shabu to an undercover agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bicol in entrapment in his village around 10:45 a.m., said PDEA agent Samuel Detera.
Seized from him were five grams of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
Detera said the suspect was a new illegal drug peddler operating in Albay since his name was not in the roster of the PDEA drugs watch list.
