CALASIAO, PANGASINAN—A migrant worker from Sta. Barbara town was killed in the deadliest of six road accidents taking place in a single day in the province of Pangasinan, which is now on general community quarantine (GCQ), which loosened stay-at-home orders.
The overseas Filipino worker, Christian Tolentino, died around 2 p.m. from severe head injuries that he suffered when a six-wheel truck struck the vehicle he was riding at an intersection in Sta. Barbara.
In Sual town, the vehicle of a 60-year old seaman was sideswiped by a motorcycle, injuring the right foot of motorcycle rider Mark Dominic Paz.
Around 8:40 p.m. in Bayambang town, a motorcycle collided with a Mitsubishi Pajero, injuring 26-year-old bike rider Christopher Prado of Sta. Barbara town. The Pajero was driven by Rogilio Honrado, 50, of Bayambang town, but he and his passengers were not hurt.
In San Jacinto town, Maria Naoe, 51, was struck by a bicycle with a sidecar as he crossed the national road around 7:30 a.m. He and the bicycle driver, Rogelio Oblero, a 55-year-old chief security guard, suffered injuries and were brought to a hospital in Mapandan town.
In Aguilar town, an Isuzu Elf Truck loaded with cement fell on its side along a highway, injuring its 19-year-old driver Justine delos Santos and his helper, Jaymark Padlan, 21. Delos Santos lost control of the steering wheel, police said.
In Bugallon town, the vehicle driven by Recto dela Cruz, 57, was struck by a motorcycle driven by Jessie Crescencio, 24. Cortez was brought to a hospital.
