PUERTO PRINCESA CITY –– Three patients suspected to have the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have died in Palawan, bringing the total number of casualties in the province to 38.
Richard Ligad, chief of City Information Office, in a Facebook announcement late Wednesday, said that of the three deceased suspected COVID-19 patients, one was from an urban barangay in Puerto Princesa City.
The patient was a 50 to 55-year-old male, who was already swabbed and is pending test result. He was also known to have other co-morbidities, according to Ligad.
The profiles of the other two deceased patients were yet to be disclosed.
Palawan is monitoring a total of 64 COVID-19 patients, 56 of whom are considered suspects, while eight are considered probable cases based on the bulletin issued by the Center for Health Development-Mimaropa as of 3 p.m. Wednesday.
