Three-month-old La Union baby beats COVID-19 infection

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan, Philippines  — A three-month-old baby boy from Barangay Biday in San Fernando City, La Union, has recovered from his coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infection, according to a statement issued by  Mayor Alfredo Pablo Ortega.

The baby, the youngest victim of the coronavirus in that city, is listed as San Fernando’s fourth recovered patient.

He was admitted at the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center on April 27 when he tested positive for the dreaded virus. His first negative test came out on May 13 and the second was received by the hospital on May 19.

He is not at the city’s isolation facility and will be discharged on Wednesday (May 20).
