MANILA, Philippines — The Mandaluyong City government has lifted the prohibition on sale and delivery of alcoholic beverages for the duration of the enhanced community quarantine.
In an ordinance signed on Monday by City Mayor Menchie Abalos which was published on Tuesday, the city eased its liquor ban to assist local industries to “thrive in their businesses and contribute to economy.”
Meanwhile, drinking alcoholic beverages is still allowed inside homes provided that social distancing is observed.
Aside from Mandaluyong, San Juan City also earlier lifted its liquor ban while restricting consumption of alcoholic drinks.
