Pagasa: Moderate to heavy rains over Cavite, Laguna, other Luzon provinces on Tuesday afternoon
MANILA, Philippines — Residents in Cavite, Laguna, and other Luzon provinces should prepare their umbrellas when going outside as rains are expected over such areas for Tuesday afternoon, the state weather bureau said.
In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 3:17 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that moderate to heavy rain showers are expected over Cavite, Laguna, Quezon province, Tarlac and Bataan within the next two hours.
Pagasa added that the aforementioned conditions are being experienced over Bulacan (Doña Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray); Rodriguez, Rizal; Zambales (Santa Cruz, Candelaria, Masinloc, Palauig, Iba, Botolan, Subic, Castillejos); Pampanga (Floridablanca, Porac); and Nueva Ecija, which may persist for two hours and may affect nearby areas.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards, which include flash floods and landslides,” Pagasa said.
Earlier, state meteorologists forecast that the Easterlies or wind blowing from the Pacific Ocean will bring hot and humid weather for most parts of the country.
