Bulacan thief nabbed for stealing pigeons; 3 fall for stealing cables

CITY OF MALOLOS –– After a brief chase, the police on Monday (May 18) arrested an 18-year-old male for stealing imported pigeons.

Jordan Butahan allegedly sped off with 40 pigeons at Barangay Sapang Putol in San Ildefonso town, but only 30 birds were recovered when the teen was cornered.

Meanwhile, the Malolos police caught Michael Angelo Calayag, 25; Cyrills Azucena, 29, and John Paul Azucena, 19, who drove off in a white van loaded with stolen communication cable lines at Sitio (sub-village) Malanggam in Barangay Bulihan.

A brief chase ended at Barangay Sumapang Matanda leading to the arrest of the two suspects surnamed Azucena. It was not established if the two men were related. Calayag later surrendered at the local police station.
