CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– A Drive-Thru Test Center for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was shut down by the Angeles City government on Friday (May 15), for operating without a license.
The center was operating at the parking lot of a hotel at Fields Avenue. It opened last week, catering mostly to foreigners.
But Dr. Lailani Mangulabnan, local health support division of the DOH in Central Luzon, said the center did not secure accreditation from her agency nor permits for the “remote collection” of samples.
The Angeles government’s business licensing division posted a streamer announcing the center’s closure.
Dr. Cesar Cassion, DOH regional director, also issued a notice of violation to the center.
The hotel had been closed. Its management denied operating the center but had not identified the company which leased the space to put up the illegal facility.
