Probe on SM City Cebu fire ongoing

CEBU CITY –– An investigation is being conducted to determine the cause of the fire that damaged a portion of SM City Cebu on Friday, May 15.
In its official statement, the management of SM City Cebu said the fire happened in an “isolated area” at the mall’s fifth floor.

“Our Emergency Response Team, together with the Bureau of Fire Protection has immediately declared fire out,” its statement read.
“The rest of the mall is not affected. An investigation is already ongoing,” it added.
