OFWs now allowed to resume work abroad

/ 05:10 AM May 15, 2020

Land-based and sea-based overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) may now be deployed abroad as long as they sign a declaration saying they are aware of the risks involved, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said.

The deployment ban on health-care professionals, however, remains.

Only health-care workers who have signed employment contracts as of March 8 will be allowed to leave the country. —JULIE M. AURELIO
