At least five barangays in Parañaque City, one of the cities with the highest number of new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in Metro Manila, will be placed under “strict community quarantine” (SCQ) for three days next week.
In a statement on Thursday, Mayor Edwin Olivarez said he would be issuing an executive order for the pocket lockdowns under the modified enhanced community quarantine. These would be implemented in villages with the highest number of COVID-19 cases, based on data from the City Epidemiology Surveillance Unit and City Health Office. These were San Antonio (78 cases), BF Homes (66), San Dionisio (64), Don Bosco (59) and Moonwalk (51).
Baclaran, which has 43 confirmed cases, may also be included should the numbers go up.
Under the SCQ, all residents should stay home for three days, except for front-liners.
