LOOK: DOH receives 50K COVID-19 test kits from Jack Ma
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday received 50,000 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test kits donated by Chinese billionaire and Alibaba founder Jack Ma.
The donations were coursed through the Manny Pacquiao Foundation (MPF), which also turned over 50,000 extraction kits and specimen preservation reagent from Ma.
Representatives from the Philippine General Hospital and the San Lazaro Hospital received the donation during the turnover rites facilitated by Senator Manny Pacquiao’s special assistant, Jake Joson, and MPF Operations head Choi Garcia-Ascue.
Last March, the Chinese billionaire also donated 57,000 testing kits worth P400 million and 500,000 face masks, which were also turned over by Pacquiao’s foundation to the DOH.
