60-year-old man hurt in Pasig fire

MANILA, Philippines—A 60-year-old man was injured when fire hit two homes in Pasig City Friday.

Eduardo Bayuon suffered burns from his head down to his back after fire razed two homes along A. Concepcion Street in Santolan, Pasig City, said Senior Inspector Anthony Arroyo, chief of the Investigation unit of the Pasay City Fire Department.

Fire struck the two houses at 11:03 a.m., reaching third alarm before it was extinguished at around 11:40 a.m.

Arroyo said that the two houses were “almost totally burned” and pegged the cost of damages at P400,000.
