MANILA, Philippines — More than 14,000 repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) have been tested for the new coronavirus at the country’s international airports and seaports.
President Rodrigo Duterte said the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) had administered COVID-19 rapid antibody testing on 14,430 OFWs since April 30 at one-stop booths at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminals 1 and 2 and seaports.
From May 1 to 7, the PCG tested 6,911 repatriated OFWs, apart from testing 8,029 OFWs quarantined in hotels and 1,936 OFWs quarantined in cruise ships since April 23.
