MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Eastern Visayas and Northeastern Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric and Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration said Friday.

The rain may trigger flash floods and landslides due to a diffused tail-end of a cold front affecting Visayas, Pagasa said.

The rest of the Visayas will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, while Northern and Eastern Luzon will be mostly cloudy with rains. The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with light rains due to a northeast monsoon, it said.

Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains howers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the East and Northeast over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough, it added.
