MANILA, Philippines—A scavenger died in what appeared to be a hit-and-run accident along Road 10, Pier 18, Tondo in Manila.

The fatality was identified only as “Putol” between 20 and 25 years old, wearing a blue t-shirt, brown shorts and has a tattoo “Tau Gamma Fraternity” on his belly, said Police Officer 3 Christopher David of the Manila Traffic Bureau.

David said a truck could have hit the victim based on the injury he sustained. Tetch Torres,INQUIRER.net
