SOLANA, Cagayan – Five men were caught gambling in the last week of the extended quarantine at the village of Andarayan North, according to police.

Reynold Narag, 38; Jayson Ubina, 25; Ferdie Magora, 27; Zaldy Dilo, 50, and Felix Cagurungan, 30, were playing a “winner-take-all” card game when caught past noon, said Capt. Jhun-jhun Balisi, Solana police chief.

The policemen acted on a tip by the men’s neighbors.

The men were charged with breaking the 24-hour curfew that included a ban on small gatherings and gambling during the lockdown.
