Occidental Mindoro records 6th COVID-19 case
CITY OF CALAPAN – Occidental Mindoro on Sunday night reported that a resident of Magsaysay town has tested positive for SARS-CoV2, the virus that causes the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the sixth confirmed case of the viral disease in the province.
The provincial government said the latest confirmed COVID-19 patient is 51-year-old male and a healthcare worker at the San Jose District Hospital.
“He was among those who underwent Expanded Testing conducted by the Provincial Health Office and sent to the Philippine Red Cross. He is asymptomatic,” the provincial government said in its social media post.
It also said that at present, there are two active but asymptomatic cases (Patients No. 4 and Patient No. 6), three Recovered (Patients No. 2, No.3 and No. 5) and one Death (Patient No. 1) in the province.
