LUCENA CITY, Philippines – Police have arrested four suspected drug pushers and seized 52.25 grams of shabu (crystal meth) in two separate buy-bust operations here Friday night.
Anti-illegal drug operatives nabbed Raymond Carandang and Raquel Genovaña after they sold a plastic sachet of shabu to a police agent during a bust in Barangay (village) Kanlurang Mayao around 8:30 p.m., Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief, said in a report Saturday.
Authorities confiscated seven sachets containing shabu weighing 30.95 grams.
Earlier, police also busted Joel Ursolino and Edgar Gentica in another sting operation in Barangay Ibabang Dupay at around 7:15 p.m.
The two suspects yielded six sachets of meth weighing 21.30 grams. Police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to be used by the suspects in the distribution of illegal drugs.
According to police, the total confiscated shabu weighing 52.25 grams, has an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P355,300 and a street value of P1.06 million.
The suspects are now detained at the Lucena City police jail and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
