MANILA, Philippines — To speed up results of its COVID-19 mass testing, the Valenzuela government on Wednesday inked a memorandum of agreement with its third laboratory which is accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian announced the deal on Twitter, saying that the laboratory, which he did not name, would be expected to conduct 30 tests a day.
Great day!
Just signed another agreement with another DoH-FDA accredited laboratory…our third such agreement. Makakatulong eto sa local mass testing natin. This adds another daily 30 tests to be processed. Masmarami matest, masmabilis na results.

As of Wednesday night, the city recorded 122 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease, with 23 recoveries and eight deaths.
