Woman inside bag had just flown in from Bahrain
While investigators have identified the woman whose body was found stuffed inside a traveling bag at the parking lot of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 in Pasay City, they have yet to determine why she was killed.
The police, however, said that Nidz Ailyn Bahjin, a 23-year-old native of Patikul, Sulu, had just flown in from Bahrain where she worked.
She arrived in Manila around 3 p.m. on Tuesday while her body was found at 7:50 a.m. the following day.
“She was identified by her aunt, Nashrada Hayudin, but she could not give any other specific details on how long Bahjin was in Bahrain and who may have fetched the victim from the airport,” Pasay police chief, Senior Superintendent Melchor Reyes, told the Inquirer.
He said that it was important for them to determine if Bahjin was met by anyone at NAIA because he/she could have had a hand in her death.
“We have reason to believe that Bahjin knew her killers because she apparently went with them from the airport,” Reyes added.
