No respite for drug suspects as 11 nabbed in Cordillera during quarantine

BAGUIO CITY—At least 11 drug suspects were arrested in separate operations around the quarantine-locked Cordillera region at the weekend.

On Sunday (May 3) in the Benguet capital town of La Trinidad, Jonathan Gabriel Nabe, Norson Palasi Cabigat, Perkins Galuba Bentriz, Johnson Visaya Lucas, Randy Palasi Cabigat and Christian Lorence Puguon Doccog were caught using shabu (crystal meth) at the village of Bahong.

On the same day in the Ifugao town of Tinoc, Anselmo Pineda Nava was arrested for peddling shabu in a police drug bust at Ap-apid village.

Earlier on Saturday (May 2) at Tabuk City in Kalinga province, Junior Ticnang, Richard Gannaban Bueno and Arvin Rodico Alvendia were caught sharing shabu inside a nipa hut at Agbanawag village.

Also on Saturday in the same city, Ull Bryner Carbonel was caught with a plastic sachet with suspected shabu and 16 sachets with shabu residues after he was served an arrest warrant at Purok 7 in San Juan village.
