Nueva Ecija couple recovers from COVID-19

CABANATUAN CITY — A couple from Fort Magsaysay has brought to 18 the number of patients who have fully recovered from the coronavirus disease  2019 (COVID 19) in Nueva Ecija, the province’s inter-agency task force reported on Sunday.

Patient #45, and his wife, Patient #46,both 51-years-old, travelled to three European countries and tested positive for the coronavirus disease on March 29, according to the NEIATF.

They were initially admitted at the V. Luna Medical Center in Quezon City and were allowed to return to Nueva Ecija after two weeks when they tested for the virus in theIr second swab tests, the report said.

According to the NEIATF, the couple had finished the 14-day strict home quarantine on May 1, and were declared fully recovered.

This developed as the number of suspected COVID 19 cases in Nueva Ecija rose to 945 as of Sunday (May 3) from 901 on April 29.

Those who tested negative also ballooned to 398 from 382 as the number of people tested increased to 695 from 683.

The number of deaths for confirmed COVID 19 remained at three while 56 have died from the list of suspected cases.
