LUCENA CITY – Six more coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients in Quezon have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries in the province to 19, the Quezon Public Information Office reported Saturday afternoon.
The Lucena City Public Information Office, citing a report from the local Inter-Agency Task Force, subsequently announced on its Facebook page that five of the six recuperated patients are from the city – two from Barangay Gulang-Gulang and one each from Ibabang Iyam, Cotta and Barangay 8.
Ten patients from Lucena have so far recovered.
Lucena has also recorded two new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of local confirmed virus carriers to 29.
The confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province rose to 68.
But with the recovery of 19 patients and the death of seven others, the number of active COVID-19 carriers in the province is now down to 42.
