MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday said it will give each police officer who passed the 2019 Bar examination with a P10,000 cash incentive.

“Incidentally, I am giving a separate incentive of P10,000 to each PNP personnel who passed the 2019 Bar examination,” PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa said in an online press briefing.

Gamboa, who is also a lawyer, said they have yet to receive information as to how many from the PNP have passed the 2019 Bar examination.

The PNP chief is encouraging the new lawyers to stay in the PNP service.

Out of 7,685 examinees, only 2,103  or 27.36 percent passed the 2019 Bar exam which was conducted at the University of Santo Tomas last year.
