Cloudy skies and scattered rain showers in parts of Visayas, Mindanao
MANILA, Philippines — The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region on Thursday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa’s 4 a.m. weather bulletin showed the Low Pressure Area (LPA) being monitored by the weather bureau is embedded in the ITCZ affecting the weather condition in the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao.
The LPA was last spotted 855 kilometers east southeast of Davao City.
In a weather update, Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said there is a low chance the LPA will develop into a tropical depression.
“Pero inaaanyayahan pa rin po ang mga kababayan natin na magmonitor o maging updated sa mga ilalabas na impormasyon ukol dito (But the public is still advised to monitor updates about this),” he said.
