Didi You Know: Wholesale, retail sector had 1.11 million workers in 2016

According to the final results of the 2016 Annual Survey of the Philippine Business and Industry that were recently released by the Philippine Statistics Authority, an estimated 1.11 million individuals were employed in the wholesale and retail trade sector.

Retail selling in department stores accounted for the highest number of workers in this industry (6.2 percent). The total sales from e-commerce for this sector was estimated at about P2 billion.
