13 of 16 COVID-19 patients recover in Soccsksargen

KORONADAL CITY — Most of the confirmed COVID-19 patients in Soccksargen have recovered from the disease, the Department of Health – Soccsksargen COVID-19 tracker showed.

As of 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 13 of the 16 confirmed COVID-19 patients have recovered in the region of at least 4.5 million people, according to the DOH tracker.

Only one patient, tagged as PH 600 after testing positive, died from the virus, the only recorded death in the region. PH600 was from Sultan Kudarat province.

Of the 330 suspected COVID-19 cases in the region, 85 have been discharged, 31 are still admitted in different hospitals, 191 are under home quarantine and 23 have died, DOH-Soccsksargen reported.

Of the suspect COVID-19 deaths, 18 proved negative, two test results had yet to arrive while the three others were not tested.

Soccksargen straddles the provinces of South Cotabato, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and Sarangani and the cities of General Santos, Koronadal, Tacurong and Kidapawan.

Only Sarangani has a zero confirmed COVID-19 case, so far.

Health data from Cotabato City, which earlier voted for its inclusion in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, are still with the DOH-Soccsksargen since the city has yet to be formally turned over to the BARMM.

All of the six confirmed COVID-19 cases in Cotabato City have recovered.
