MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies will contribute to the hot and humid weather that most part of the country will experience on Thursday, the state weather bureau said.
“Dahil po sa easterlies, nagko-contribute po ito ng mainit at maalinsangang panahon,” weather specialist Samuel Duran said in the 4 a.m. live weather update of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Meanwhile, the frontal system is currently affecting Northern Luzon. This will bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Cagayan Valley Region and Aurora.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorm, meanwhile, is expected over the Caraga and Davao Region due to the easterlies.
As for Metro Manila and the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers is expected due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorm.
No weather disturbance inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is currently being monitored by Pagasa, Duran stated.
