MANILA, Philippines — The Filipino-Chinese Community Charity Foundation has raised P265 million for medical supplies for front-liners as well as food for marginalized sectors whose livelihoods were disrupted by the pandemic.
The foundation, led by the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII), consists of 11 major Filipino-Chinese civic and cultural groups.
FFCCCII president Henry Lim Bon Liong also appealed to the national government to save micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the country by granting wage subsidies to defray payroll costs, extending low- or no-interest loans and offering credit relief or moratorium on loan payments, among other support.
