Cops arrest construction worker, seize 2mg of meth

DIGOS CITY—Police arrested a construction worker for allegedly selling 2 milligrams of shabu, or crystal meth, to an undercover agent during a buy-bust operation in the town of Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.

Maj. Crisaldo Gaila, Sta. Cruz police chief, identified the suspect as Juvy Meneses Wenceslao, a resident of Christian Village, Barangay Aplaya in Digos City, some 20 kilometers from Sta. Cruz.

Wenceslao is believed to be engaged in shabu delivery, taking orders in his mobile phone and then arranging for drop off and payment.

Seized from Wenceslao were two milligrams of shabu worth P1,000, a mobile phone and motorcycle, both of which are allegedly used in plying his illegal trade.

Wenceslao is now in police custody and charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
