2 more police officers infected with COVID-19, 1 more cop recovers
MANILA, Philippines — Two more police officers contracted the coronavirus disease, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippine National Police (PNP) to 74.
“Latest figures showed that PNP (has) a total of 74 confirmed cases with a total of 723 cases including those who are suspected and probable cases of COVID-19,” PNP Chief Gen. Archie Gamboa said in an online press conference on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Gamboa said the PNP Health Service also recorded one more police personnel who recovered from the disease. This bring the total number of recoveries in the police force to 12.
The number of PNP personnel who died due to coronavirus disease remained at three, Gamboa said.
