MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte is set to talk with health experts about whether or not the period of enhanced community quarantine in Luzon would be extended or modified, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go said Sunday.

In an interview over radio station DZBB, Go, a former special assistant to Duterte, said that the President might hand down his decision on whether the quarantine period would be extended or modified.

“Ang Pangulo marahil magde-decide ngayong linggong ito kung i-extend pa po o luluwagan [ang enhanced community quarantine],” Go said.

(The President might decide this week if the enhanced community quarantine would be extended or modified.)

“So bukas po kakausapin niya ang mga health experts, marami po siyang inimbita pati rin po mga dating secretaries of health ng iba’t ibang administration,  baka makapagbigay ng payo sila,” he added.

(So tomorrow, he is set to talk to health experts. He has invited a lot of people, even former Health secretaries from previous administrations. They might be able to give him advice.)
