3 drug suspects busted in Quezon sting
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested three drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Tayabas City on Saturday.
Michael Ramos, Oliver Verginiza and Ronald Par, all residents of Siniloan, Laguna were arrested after they sold shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Mateuna at around 5:30 p.m., Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police director, said in a report on Sunday.
The trio yielded a total of 8.76 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of over P59,000.
The suspects were aboard a black Isuzu Crosswind (SKF 875) reportedly registered to the Department of Agriculture (DA) in Region 4A.
The vehicle also had an attached “PASS SKELETAL WORKFORCE COVID 19 TASK FORCE SKF 875” on its windshield, report said.
Police said Verginisia, who was driving he vehicle, was identified as a DA “Admin 2” employee while Ramos was tagged as an ex-drug convict who was released on a plea-bargaining agreement.
