/ 05:10 AM April 19, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — Two traffic enforcers were sacked on Friday from their posts after extorting money from two food delivery riders in Makati City in exchange for allowing them to pass through the checkpoints.

The two enforcers, whose identities were withheld, were Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) job-order constables.

According to police, the two flagged down the delivery men along the Edsa-Ayala southbound lane in Barangay San Lorenzo and demanded P500 and P100 on the pretext of citing them for traffic violations.
