MANILA, Philippines — The enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) across Luzon could possibly be extended or modified after April 30, presidential spokesman Harry Roque said Saturday.

“Tingin ko malinaw na hindi pwede mawala ang quarantine. (May) posibilidad magpatuloy ang ECQ as is o ‘di naman kaya magkaroon ng modified ECQ,” Roque said in a dzBB interview.

(I think it is clear that the quarantine cannot be removed. There is a possibility for the ECQ to continue or it would be modified.)

“Ilan sa mga proposals na narinig ko sa huling pagpupulong nung last Tuesday, ay ‘yung modification base sa geographical location, base sa tinatawag sa comorbidity at modification base sa industriya,” he added.

(Some proposals that I have heard during the last meeting on Tuesday are the modification based on the geographical location, based on the so-called comorbidity and modification based on the industry.)

According to Roque, these are proposals were from Joey Concepcion, presidential adviser for entrepreneurship, and Finance Secretary Sonny Dominguez III.
