4 OFWs arrive in Masbate

LEGAZPI CITY –– Four overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) arrived in Masbate province on Friday afternoon, a provincial health official said.

Dr. Oscar Acuesta, officer-in-charge of the Masbate Provincial Health Office said that upon arrival, the OFWs’ health certificates and temperatures would be checked, and physical examination conducted.

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Masbate said all four of them are documented.

They would be brought to the provincial isolation facility in Barangay Dacu in Mobo town to undergo a 14-day quarantine.

The OFWs will be quarantined with the Masbate residents, who were fetched from being trapped in the towns of Del Gallego and Pili in Camarines Sur and Bulan town in Sorsogon, due to the local lockdown.

Seventy-one persons are housed in the isolation facility, which can accommodate more than 100 persons.
