LGUs asked to form own contact tracing teams

/ 05:14 AM April 17, 2020

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año wants contact tracing teams (CTTs) for COVID-19 cases in every locality to be headed by the police chief and made up of officials and personnel of the local government unit’s (LGU) police force, health office, fire bureau, barangay public safety office, health emergency response group, and disaster and risk reduction management office.

Año directed all local chief executives to organize CTTs in their areas and ensure that their Ligtas COVID-19 centers or community quarantine facilities are functional, with a conducive environment for recovery, adequate and trained medical personnel, and equipment. —Jeannette I. Andrade
