National Hemophilia Awareness Month is observed every April while National Hemophilia Day is commemorated every April 17 by virtue of Proclamation No. 1478 signed in 2008 by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Hemophilia is an inherited bleeding disorder which affects the blood’s ability to clot.
