Medical frontliner is Valenzuela City’s 53rd coronavirus case
MANILA, Philippines — A 34-year-old male medical frontliner is the latest case of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Valenzuela City, the local government said Thursday.

The infected frontliner brought the total number of cases in the city to 53, according to the latest data provided by the LGU.
“[The City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit] is monitoring all the confirmed cases and conducting contact tracing,” the local government said.
On Wednesday, the Valenzuela City LGU had 52 COVID-19 cases as five patients tested positive for the disease.
In the Philippines, there are 5,423 COVID-19 cases, of which 353 have recovered while 349 succumbed to the disease as of Wednesday.
