MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported Wednesday the completed installation works of patient monitoring systems at the COVID-19 ward of the Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP) in Quezon City.

In a statement, DPWH said the installation of cardiac monitors and closed-circuit television (CCTV) video surveillance at LCP’s COVID-19 ward was completed in a day, “way ahead of the three-day expected work period.”

In a message, Dr. Gloanne C. Adolor of the Lung Center thanked DPWH for helping the hospital improve its response mechanism and capability to handle COVID-19 cases.

DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, for his part, extended appreciation to the entire workforce of LCP who are at the forefront of the country’s fight against the serious health crisis.
