MANILA, Philippines — San Juan City will start mass testing of patients under investigation for the new coronavirus disease.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora announced that mass testing will be coordinated with the Department of Health (DOH) and Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Muntinlupa.
“Magkakaroon na po ang Lungsod ng San Juan ng MASS TESTING gamit ang mga Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test kits sa pamamagitan ng DOH at RITM. Ito ay para sa lahat ng PUIs na San Juaneño,” he said.
(San Juan City will now have mass testing using polymerase chain reaction COVID-19 test kits with the help of DOH and RITM. The test is for all PUIs of San Juan.)
Residents of San Juan City who are considered as PUIs may coordinate with San Juan City Health Office or barangay captains for the schedule of their test, Zamora said.
As of April 14, San Juan has 160 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease, including 28 recoveries and 30 fatalities.
