BALANGA CITY, Bataan — A former hospital intern has won her battle against COVID-19, recovering after nearly a month of confinement.

In a social media post, the patient said she has finally been declared free of the virus that causes COVID-19. The patient has been working in the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center for the last 30 years.

She joins 12 others who had beaten the disease, which has no known cure yet.

On Monday (April 13), 12 medical workers, seven of them nurses, tested positive for COVID-19, increasing the number of Bataan’s infected tally to 39.
