Marinduque’s 4 cases recover from COVID-19

MOGPOG, Marinduque –– The four Marinduque residents, who were infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), have recovered, the provincial health office (PHO) said Saturday.

Two of the patients were scheduled to be discharged from the hospital on Sunday, while the other two have been sent home. This was after they all tested negative twice for the virus.

But the PHO said this did not mean Marinduque, an island province, has reverted to being “COVID-19-free” as it warned against complacency since several persons were suspects.

As of Saturday, the PHO said 59 people were still undergoing the 14-day home quarantine, while two were suspected COVID-19 patients still in the hospital.

Since the outbreak, most of the confirmed and suspected cases were traced to the towns of Mogpog, Sta. Cruz, and Torrijos.
